As a member of Polar’s Mobile Equipment Team, the successful applicant will be an energetic team player that will apply their skills by performing various maintenance requirements in a safe working environment. Shift work may be required.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will bring the following experience and expertise:
- The ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Heavy Duty Mechanic journeyman’s trade qualification (B.C. tickets) or an Interprovincial Heavy Duty Mechanic’s ticket.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Superior troubleshooting skills as well as welding and fabricating experience.
- Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process would be an asset.
