CO-OP OPPORTUNITY: Accountant (4 or 8 month term)
Location: Prince George, British Columbia

POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the Finance team reporting directly to the Operations Controller, the Junior Accountant will be responsible for processing accurate information that will support the management team. This position requires well-established organizational skills, a high level of motivation and energy, excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a dynamic team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Successful candidate will be provided exposure to full cycle accounting relative to their progression in their education
- Produce the weekly cost report and perform analyses of variances to Outlook
- Opportunities to get exposure to Payroll and Accounts payable
- Reconcile all related GL accounts
- Provide backup and support to other accounting personnel
- Responsibilities will vary depending on levels of education
- Prepare and process various month end duties which include:

- Journal Entries
- Set up required accruals
QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates must be pursuing an accounting degree
- Strong analytic skills
- Proficiency with MS Excel and Word are essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
