CO-OP OPPORTUNITY: Mechanical Engineer (4 or 8 month term)

Location: Taylor, British Columbia
Closing Date: February 10, 2012

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is open to post-secondary students who are interested in gaining experience in the Forest Industry.  

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

    The position will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and Engineer Manager:  

    • ·Assist as needed with preparation of production engineering deliverables
    • Contribute technical support and planning to the maintenance department
    • Identify, design and implement innovative, high return projects that enhance the operation and maintenance of the facility

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry is an asset 
  • Previous experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry is an asset
  • Preference is completion of first or second term 3rd year Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; capable of working in a team environment
  • Must be self motivated

LOCATION – Houston, B.C.

Taylor Pulp is a BCTMP Pulp Mill located in the Peace River District of B.C., just minutes away from the City of Fort St. John.
