CO-OP OPPORTUNITY: Technical Support Technician
 (4 or 8 month term)

Location: Prince George, British Columbia
Closing Date: February 10, 2012

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Information Technology Team Leader, Service Delivery, the incumbent will have the opportunity to work on an excellent IT systems management team and will support this team by helping with day-to-day administration and small projects under the guidance of experienced IT professionals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
• Providing PC hardware and software maintenance
• Providing help as required to various projects
• Providing client support
• Maintaining and development IT related documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

• The successful candidate will bring the following experience and expertise: 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite 2007-2010
• General knowledge of Microsoft Networking including Microsoft File and Print Sharing
• General knowledge of TCP/IP networks
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Capability to work independently, setting and meeting targets
• Must be trustworthy and have a high degree of confidentiality for handling sensitive data
• Knowledge of BMC Blade Logic for Clients is an asset
