Canfor Corporation Closed Scholarship for Children of Employees in the Prince George Area $2,000 (2)
Eligibility
Two awards open to students currently enrolled in any of the following secondary schools: College Heights, Duchess Park, Kelly Road, Prince George, D.P. Todd, Cedars Christian School or O'Grady Catholic High School who are the son or daughter of an employee of Canadian Forest Products Ltd.
Criteria
- Demonstrated excellent academic achievement. Demonstrate outstanding citizenship. Financial need will be considered in the case of a tie. Selection by District Awards Committee.
Special Conditions
- Student information section must outline educational plans, and reason for pursuing their career path.
- The award will be granted to the successful candidate in installments of $500 each year for four years.
- The award is conditional upon continuous education immediately following completion of secondary school and is subject to cancellation should the recipient withdraw from school without prior approval from Canfor Corporation. Such approval will be granted only in extenuating circumstances.

Canfor Corporation First Nations Student Scholarship
$1,200
One scholarship will be given annually to a student of status or non-status native descent graduating from a public or independent school and pursuing a course of study in a four year program leading to a first degree or diploma.
Eligibility
- Open to students who are of status or non-status native descent, or with at least one parent of status or non-status descent.
Criteria
- Demonstrated an above average record of academic achievement over the two years of secondary education.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and/or community and school involvement.
Special Conditions
- Selected by District Awards Committee
- A letter of reference outlining leadership skills and/or community and school involvement must accompany application.

Annual scholarship to a student of a Prince George area school.
Eligibility
- Open to students currently enrolled in any of the following secondary schools: College Heights, Duchess Park, Kelly Road, Prince George, D.P. Todd, Cedars Christian School or O'Grady Catholic High School.

Eligibility
- Open to students currently enrolled in any of the following secondary schools: College Heights, Duchess Park, Kelly Road, Prince George, D.P. Todd, Cedars Christian School or O'Grady Catholic High School.
Criteria
- Demonstrated an above average academic achievement over the two years of secondary education.
Special Conditions
- Selected by District Awards Committee
- Financial need will be considered only in the event of a tie.
- Recipients are not allowed to earn more than $2,500 in other scholarships, bursaries, awards or other grants in the upcoming year.
