Established in 2000, to support students taking a recognized form of continuing education.

Eligibility

• Available to David Thompson Secondary School graduating students whose parent/guardian is a Canadian Forest Products Ltd. - Radium Division employee.

Criteria

• Applications are considered on the basis of financial need, future education plans and citizenship.
• If no suitable candidate is found who is employed at Canfor or is a child of a Canfor employee, the award will still be awarded.

Special Conditions

• If the recipient does not follow through with their post secondary education the bursary may be withdrawn.
• After two months of attendance at a post secondary institution the recipient must supply proof of registration in order to receive payment.
• To remain eligible for the bursary the recipient must register at a post secondary institution within three years following the recipient's graduation.
