Q: How do I apply for a job at Canfor?
A: Browse through the Job Opportunities page to see how your skills match those of the jobs posted. You should then apply to the contact name indicated in the advertisement. Please follow the reply instructions - email, fax or mail.
Q: I'm interested in an entry-level position at one of your mills. Where do I apply?
A: You may choose to visit the office of the mill you are interested in or mail your application to the address referred to on our operations map.
Q: Does Canfor acknowledge every application received?
A: Because we receive a large volume of applications for employment daily, we will respond only to those applications that specifically fit our current requirements.
Q: How long do you keep applications on file?
A: Generally, applications that meet our minimum hiring standards may be kept on file for up to 6 months.
Q: I don't currently live in Canada - will Canfor still consider my application?
A: According to Canadian Immigration requirements, we will only consider applications from Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. Applicants from abroad are urged to first contact a local Canadian Embassy or consular representative to inquire about their eligibility to work in Canada.
