I am pleased to announce that the winners of the 2007 President's Safety Award are:
- PG Sawmill for the lowest overall Medical Incidence Rate (MIR) for the 2007 calendar year;
- Plateau for the greatest percentage MIR improvement for 2007 over 2006; and
- Rustad for the lowest overall MIR for the past three consecutive years (2005 to 2007).
I would like to thank everyone at these operations for their contributions toward achieving these awards. A special thanks should also go to those serving on the Joint Health and Safety Committees for their hard work and perseverance to help make their workplaces healthier and safer.
