Canfor Makes BC Top Employer List Once Again

For the fifth year in a row, Canfor has been recognized as one of BC’s Top Employers. This annual award recognizes the British Columbia employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. We are really proud to make this list year after year.

Canfor is a leader in the forest products industry and BC’s biggest forestry company employing over 4,000 people in BC. Our ability to attract and retain talented people in our organization is one of the most important factors to ensure our future success. To meet this goal, we constantly review our practices and programs to confirm they meet the changing needs of our employees. Participating in this type of competition is one of many ways to make sure we are on the right path.

Some of the reasons why Canfor was selected includes the support we provide for life after work and retirement planning, and for our commitment to lifelong learning through formal mentoring opportunities, subsidies for professional accreditation, in-house and online training and other educational opportunities.

Congratulations to all the BC Top Employers. We are proud to be amongst a great group of companies that offer exceptional places to work. Thank you to the Canada’s Top Employers organization for their recognition. Even more importantly, I thank our employees. Our great team of dedicated employees is also a key reason why Canfor is a great place to work.
