Today, we are excited to unveil changes to our company blog, which includes new functionality, a refreshed design and a better fitting name chosen by our employees.
We introduced our blog over four years ago and until today, we haven’t changed a thing. Our blog is an important area of our site where we share Canfor news and achievements in the world of wood, pulp, paper and green energy, and we’ve made improvements so that we can better showcase all of these great stories.
Improvements include:
- a fresh and modern new design;
- the ability to find past articles by topic (via the Category selection) and by month (via the Archive selection); and
- a general search field, allowing readers to search all blog articles.
As well, we will begin to feature more articles from other employees to provide a more diverse perspectives on topics important to our readers.
Our blog now has the new name: Canfor Up Close. Our original blog was designed when Canfor.com was dedicated to our solid wood business and when the name World of Wood was fitting. Now, Canfor.com represents all of our business streams: solid wood, pulp and paper, and green energy, and this new name better represents the integrated forest company that we are today.
The name was selected by our employees and we thank all who participated in the name-selection vote that received close to 400 responses.
