New South Lumber Companies, Inc. is a member of the Canfor group of companies.
Canfor acquired New South in 2006. With the purchase came three competitive SYP mills and one lumber remanufacturing facility, all located in North and South Carolina. In addition to Southern pine dimension lumber, New South manufactures a variety of specialty lumber products as well as treated lumber.
New South Wood Preservers, LLC is one of the largest regional treaters in North America, supplying treated lumber to the states of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
This Canfor subsidiary employees over 600 people and produces over 400 million MBF of finished goods each year.
