President’s Safety Award

February 14, 2011

There were many reasons in 2010 for Canfor employees to encounter safety issues in their daily work. The Company restarted two operations, added a shift at one and closed one. We also made some major capital upgrades at many of our operations both in Canada and the U.S.

Our operations’ staff and employees have continued to place safety first. Building on 2009’s excellent results, Canfor recorded a MIR of 2.23 company-wide for 2010, down from 2.45. We are not only the safest lumber producer in the province, we are one of the safest companies across all industries in British Columbia. You should all be proud of this accomplishment.
