Stand Tending

1. Bushes and shrubs compete with the new trees for light and space. Select item below

2. Too many new trees grow.  They stay small because they are competing for light and space.
3. Nature hasn't provided many new trees.
4. The soil is low in nutrients.
5. The soil is covered in debris from logging (branches, bark, etc.)
6. Branches cause knots to form in wood (knots = less $)
