Ross Lennox

Ross Lennox was named as the Vice President of Operations for Canfor Pulp in October, 2025.

Ross grew up in the British Columbia Kootenays and started his career in the forest industry with a summer job in woodlands. He graduated from the University of Northern British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management (Forestry) and went on to achieve his Registered Professional Forester designation in 2002.

During his 25 year career with Canfor, Ross has assumed a variety of progressively senior Woodlands, Safety and Solid Wood manufacturing leadership roles in Mackenzie, Vanderhoof and Prince George, British Columbia. His focus has been on driving operational excellence through continuous improvement, employee involvement and strong partnerships.

Between 2012-2014, Ross led Canfor’s safety program, including the company’s initiatives around combustible dust management. As a part of this role, Ross was part of the leadership group of the British Columbia Manufacturing Advisory Group (MAG). In 2014, this group was awarded the Safety Innovation Award by Technical Safety BC for its work on improving industry safety for combustible dust. Ross’s solid wood manufacturing experience includes front-line roles at Polar and Isle Pierre Sawmills, as well as Plant Manager roles at Plateau and Prince George Sawmills. As the Vice President of Canadian Woodlands, Ross led Canfor’s corporate forestry team, which was responsible for strategic fibre analysis, forest certification, innovation and partnerships with Indigenous Nations. Prior to his current role, Ross was Canfor’s Vice President of Sustainability, with responsibility for Canfor’s corporate sustainability strategy.

Ross has served on a variety of industry Boards, including with the Alberta Forest Products Association (2021-2025) and with the BC Forest Safety Council (2024-current).
