David Trent
Senior Vice President, Business Development
David Trent is Canfor’s Senior Vice President, Business Development with a diverse portfolio which includes leading Canfor’s business development, strategy, innovation, sustainability and technology functions.
Previously, David was Canfor’s Senior Vice President Supply Chain and Digital, bringing more than 20 years of experience from a variety of industries. David also served as Chief Digital Officer & Vice President Operations Technology at CN. His experience with Canfor’s largest transportation partner brings critical insights to his roles within the organization. David’s career at Canfor began in 2014 when he joined as Senior Director IT before being appointed to Vice President Technology and Digital.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Simon Fraser University and obtained his CPA (CMA) designation in 2011.
