We offer $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school students in our operating communities to help support our future foresters, business and wood products manufacturing leaders, and skilled tradespersons. Bentley-Prentice Scholarship
For children of Canfor employees.
This scholarship commemorates the founders of our company and was established in 2013. It recognizes academic excellence among children of current Canfor employees who plan to pursue a career in forestry or a relevant trade.
There are six scholarships available each year and will be divided across our operations, both in Canada and in the US. Students receiving these awards will receive a payment of up to $5,000 to cover the cost of first-term books and tuition. Recipients will not be eligible for any other Canfor scholarships in the same year.

Canfor Pulp Gary Lefebvre Memorial Bursary
For School District 57 students pursuing careers in the trades.
In memory of Gary Lefebvre, a valued member of the Canfor Pulp team and a Pipefitter at Intercontinental Pulp Mill, we are proud to offer two $1,500 bursaries in his honour.
This bursary supports youth in School District 57 (Prince George) who are pursuing careers in the trades, helping them purchase the tools needed to get started.
Eligible students must complete the PDF application form and submit it to their school counsellor/Awards contact who reviews the application for eligibility and completeness.
Eligibility: Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident graduating from a high school in School District 57 (Prince George) and planning to enroll in an eligible post-secondary program (see poster for details).
Nominating students: High schools must review eligibility and submit student nominations for Canfor Pulp’s approval. A separate nomination is required for each student and must be submitted through this online portal, along with the student’s completed application form.

All nominations must be received by Friday, May 8, 2026.
Where there are multiple qualified applicants, students related to a Canfor Pulp employee shall have priority, with remaining bursaries awarded based on strength of the application.
Recipients are not eligible to receive more than one Canfor scholarship in the same year. Winners of a 2026 Bentley-Prentice Award (a Canfor internal awards program) are not eligible to receive the Canfor Pulp Gary Lefebvre Memorial Bursary or the Canfor High School Scholarship.
Students are encouraged to apply to all available awards and will receive the highest-value award for which they are eligible, if selected.

Awards for Indigenous Students
New Relationship Trust Foundation (NRTF) Scholarships.
These scholarships are administered by NRTF specifically for Indigenous students in Canfor’s operating communities. While Indigenous students are eligible in all other scholarship categories, Canfor’s partnership with NRFT provides dedicated support for Indigenous students entering our targeted education streams. Five (5) $2,000 bursaries will be awarded.
How to apply: This program is administered by the NRT. Those interested in applying should contact them directly.
The awards are sponsored by Canfor, but are not directly administered through our Corporate Office.
