Canfor Named BC Top Employer for 7th Year

By Katy Player,Vice-President People & Communications

It gives me great pride to share that Canfor was named one of BC’s Top Employers as part of the annual competition that recognizes BC employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. While I truly believe Canfor is a great place to work, I also greatly welcome and appreciate the external recognition. This is our seventh consecutive year receiving this special designation and the pride continues to grow each year.

Canfor’s current and future success greatly depends on our ability to successfully attract and retain talented people. In order to be recognized as an attractive place to begin and grow one’s career, we continue to review our programs and practices to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our employees – our most important asset. Participating in this type of competition is one of the many ways that we ensure we are on the right path.

This recognition means that Canfor stands out as an employer of choice not only in our industry, but also in our Province, which is very important in today’s competitive job markets.

Overall, this award is something we share with all of Canfor since this recognition would not be possible without the commitment, dedication and innovation amongst our growing team of over 6,300 employees.

I’d also like to congratulate all other BC Top Employers who share our commitment to offering a great place to work.

At Canfor, we look forward to continually improving our company for those entering the workforce as well as those looking to take their career to the next level.
