Canfor Awarded for Best Sustainability Report

Bill Adams, Senior Director, Sustainability, Customer Service and Innovation, accepted the award on behalf of Canfor.

It gives me great pleasure to share that Canfor was recently recognized for our sustainability reporting efforts. Our 2015 Canfor and Canfor Pulp joint Sustainability Report was selected by the Finance Sustainability Initiative (FSI) as the Best Sustainability Report in the Renewable Resources & Alternative Energy category.

Sustainability is part of everything we do at Canfor – from planning woodlands operations to delivering our products to customers around the world. Each year, Canfor demonstrates our commitment to sustainability through proactively reporting on our goals. We make the effort to meet the highest environmental, economic and social standards, and also place great importance on producing a report that clearly communicates what we are doing in these areas and how we have performed.

At an awards ceremony in Montreal, Quebec on Jan. 25, Bill Adams, Senior Director, Sustainability, Customer Service and Innovation, accepted the award on behalf of Canfor.

It is an honour to receive this award. It demonstrates that we are not only doing the right thing but that we are also delivering an impactful report for our diverse stakeholders.
