Capital Investments

Our Board approved $160-million worth of capital investments to support our growth in the US South. This includes $28 million for upgrades at our Moultrie sawmill in Georgia, which should be completed by the end of 2018. It will increase jobs at the mill as well as in local forestry and trucking operations. We also began $8.8 million in upgrades at our Urbana mill in Arkansas, including the installation of a third continuous dry kiln that will allow a substantial increase in lumber production. As well as increasing production and creating new jobs, the projects will improve efficiency.

In Canada, we made investments to increase our drying capacity and productivity.
